Flashback, live show on KEXP out of Seattle where live bands would play on weekend evenings. Have not heard this in years, thanks Don-O for playing. From what I recall we had 2 turntables, 2 laptops, external sampler, drum machine and assorted noise makers.

Mr Fab:

Don-O, howdy! And yes folks, Bran Flakes features Sheena's own Otis Fodder. I'm not aware of this recording, was it ever released anywhere, Otis?
  6:05pm
Martinibomb:

DON-OH!!!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm
Otis:

No, live show on KEXP, performing in the studio.
  6:07pm
Martinibomb:

^but no video cause.. nobody streamed back then
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:07pm
Otis:

I forgot about Mildred's tape decks too and he would make endless cassette tape loops.
Avatar 6:08pm
Don-O:

HEY! Otis, Fab and MBomb!! The 'net is cooperating!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm
Otis:

No streaming video... but we did record most shows on cam. This one however was in the studio and just the 2 of us, opposed to the full group of 6-8.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm
Scott67:

Don, must be all this fibre.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm

Stream is sounding great! Looking forward to hearing some Weird Lovemakers!

I got this black CD-R as part of a trade from somebody else....can't remember who it was.

Avatar 6:10pm
Mr Fab:

I remember buying a one-minute loop cassette at Radio Shack and showing it to the kids on my street: Look, it says "endless." It's an ENDLESS tape. I didn't say it was a loop. They would look with wonder on it, ha...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm

Otis, speaking of that, I hope my feed doesn't burn out before I can light the Torch.

Still 4 hours Scott, Con Con and Leland will see you in your dreams and bring you more pillows.
Avatar 6:12pm

Oh, I got a tray of tuba. I should learn to make tuna melt. I've ate enough freakin' tuna sandwiches in my life time....

bring the crap. what a coincidence, i'm drinking...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm
Rich in Washington:

I used to love doing crazy stuff with endless loop cassettes. Radio Shack even sold ones as short as 15 and 30 seconds. I think I still have some.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm
Otis:

We used to do this thing all the time live where one of us would play a spoken sample and the other would back. We'd just have all the spoken samples lined up in one folder, hundreds and by filename and used to use a tiny program wavbrowser to trigger the samples with one click.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm
Scott67:

Rich, Tuna Melt. Is that a meal or a Weird Lovemaking metaphor? Or both? Feeds two?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:14pm
Otis:

That's how I met Mildred. I went to a house party at his place with roommates in 1997 and here's this guy in his room with a shoebox of endless loop cassettes and he is splicing them and playing KITTY over and over or JESUS. I asked, will you please be in a band with me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:14pm
Rich in Washington:

Hi Scott67. Sometimes a tuna melt is actually a tuna melt. I'm having a V-8 as well.

Seems that Mr. T was a go-to for a lot of collage artists for a long time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21pm
Otis:

Ha, I have no clue. I was a 1-hour radio show. Maybe... I wrote them years ago and made them up. Essentially, it was a live jam like we'd do in our front rooms.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21pm
Otis:

Mr T is still a go-to.
  6:21pm
davefromtoronto:

but no i won't be dropping acid...scary s##t!

Dang, I want this, Otis. I think Happy Tyme records needs to get on the ball with this pleeze. Who was it on the chat recently who suggested starting a Sheena's record label? This would be SHE-0001
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:23pm
Scott67:

Made my own V-8 in a blender with fresh veg once. Left pulp in so when I added the Vodka ect, it was like eating a Bloody Mary consumè with a celery stick spoon. I called it a Bloody Beauty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:23pm
Otis:

I have it on CDR here as a WAV, I can rip it for you Fab. This is better than I remember. Funny to hear it after so many years.

He was on PDS's show the week after you maybe PDS?
Avatar 6:33pm

I saw Mark setting up a second web site for his art exhibition career and hasn't touched his ECC site in a long time.
  6:33pm
Martinibomb:

oh wait.. that was the other mark. Lol That Mark was on a couple months ago
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 6:34pm
Kat in Chicago:

Good hello, Don-O! Having a crappy fun time over here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm
Rich in Washington:

TradeMark was on PDS' show recently. You are correct.
  6:35pm
Martinibomb:

I played a show with ECC, Seksu Roba and Ursula 1000 one time that was a fun show Mark was awsome on his thimbletron
Avatar 6:35pm
Don-O:

Mark did a show with Wayne Butane for his 'Plad show years ago. That was a shocker to see as Wayne used to stay away from the camera.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm
Rich in Washington:

was cool to see. He sorta disappeared off the radio show/performing radar. I think he and Christy moved to Columbus OH.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 6:35pm
Kat in Chicago:

Thimbletron?
  6:36pm

the wayne episode was awesome

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm
Rich in Washington:

TradeMark's invention. Like a hacked Wii glove or something. He could trigger and modify samples with his hands/fingers
Avatar 6:37pm
Don-O:

Yea, Mark was briefly living and working in SF and got disappointed with the cities "scene" and moved back to Columbus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm
Rich in Washington:

There's a cool YT out there of him on some morning talk show and demonstrating how to do live mashups. It's pretty funny.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 6:38pm
Kat in Chicago:

Cool! As a person who sews, Thimbletron is my type of "instrument".
Avatar 6:38pm
Don-O:

I hope that Plaid with Wayne is still up on ECC site.
Avatar 6:39pm
Mr Fab:

Saw him with ECC wow the BootieLA crowd with that nutty gizmo. Also, the Wheel of Mashups, where people would spin a wheel with song titles and he would mash the two tracks on the spot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm
Rich in Washington:

MP3s are still active, apparently. I had to visit to snag a few missing ECC tracks I thought I had but didn't
  6:39pm
Martinibomb:

@kat I am also a sewer :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm
Rich in Washington:

Yeah, they did the Wheel of Mashup in Portland, during the same show as Bran Flakes. It was wonderfully nutty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm
Rich in Washington:

And Carl Sonovox.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 6:41pm
Kat in Chicago:

Yay for sewing! Although I admit I have not done much lately.
Avatar 6:41pm
Mr Fab:

all i did at Bootie LA was DJ, playing CDs. But I festooned my DJ table with tiki torches and a lava lamp.
Avatar 6:41pm
Don-O:

Before he moved back to Columbus, he posted pictures of his lepord skinned Cadillac and put all his things in USPS shipping boxes for the move. Inventive AND resourceful!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm
Rich in Washington:

or is he Solovox? I would be very surprised if Martinibomb doesn't know him.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm
Rich in Washington:

They had to sell the Dazzle Hearse! I think it had a blown headgasket or something. It was heartbreaking.
Avatar 6:42pm
Don-O:

Now THIS sounds like a track from a ECC album....or a Tipsy cover.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm
Otis:

That was a fun show in Portland with ECC and Sonovox and cool meeting up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm

Rotture was a fun club. I don't think it lasted too long but that's Portland for you.
