	🦀 ♥ 9:47am Listener Gregory: I heard a streamed concert at the VT Jazz Center last night: Kris Davis and Craig Taborn, each solo. The Davis set sounded almost completely composed, the Taborn was (and seemed) completely improvised. Awesome performances. At the end, Taborn had a bloody finger, and one of the piano keys was broken, but he kept insisting that nothing had really happened.

Julian Cope noted about the Japanese Rawk he exalted that do however sometimes lack dynamic variation - just being relentless drive. The Japanese are seldom interested in half-measures it seems, perhaps. Anyhow - dig this !!

The Davis set sounded almost completely composed, the Taborn was (and seemed) completely improvised. Awesome performances. At the end, Taborn had a bloody finger, and one of the piano keys was broken, but he kept insisting that nothing had really happened.
