D(iL): When I was a kid, my father had about 3 cassettes in his car, one of them was "Sweet Revenge" by John Prine, so I know those songs extremely well! The rest of his discography is great too but I don't know it as well.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:15pm
David (in London):

That line about 'macrobiotics / narcotics' reminds me the stories of The Stooges' Fun House, when Nico was staying there: cooking macrobiotic food by day, hoovering up industrial quantities of drugs by night.

Yeti Bob. It's suddenly turned pretty cold here recently. Probably not at Chicago levels, but enough to send me scurrying to the cupboard for my winter clothing. TBH, mood-wise, that seems compeltely reasonable given the current shitshow of the globe, but hang in there my friend.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm

YETI BOB, I get the same way in the winter. Hopefully the music give you all lift the way it does for me.

Thanks David and Irene. I've been moody my whole life so I'm used to managing it. The last few years have been extra-hard but I'm tough. And music definitely helps!

Webmaster Henry, that's a great idea. As far as who is active in the genre of "funny jazz," Jay Leonhart and John Pizzarelli come to mind. And, of course, Kenny G.

"I'm Liked" had many topical references that are out of date and would need footnotes now, such is the fast paced mutility of modern socially mediated culture.
