	♥ 9:37pm Rich in Washington: I think peak SST was when they had ST, Minutemen and Meat Puppets on their roster.
	♥ 9:41pm ultradamno: Certainly the label had a more focused identity then. 100 Flowers are underappreciated, there really is little significant difference between that incarnation and Urinals, but the earlier name seems to get more respect
	♥ 9:42pm Rich in Washington: Urinals coming up
	♥ 9:43pm ultradamno: It got a lot harder for good SST records to distinguish themselves against the field of all the other SST records after awhile. Same with Homestead
	♥ 9:45pm Rich in Washington: They did get fairly diversified in the mid to late 80s but the larger indies started trawling for bands and SST had some peculiar accounting practices. Nearly every band who left them had acrimonious legal battles with them.
	♥ 9:46pm Will the Sound Guy: I bought the minutemen double nickels on the dime and gave it to a friend... I need to get that double lp again. that copy was clean too
	♥ 9:48pm Rich in Washington: I foolishly gave a lot of my hardcore & punk records away in the late 90s and have been slowly buying some back but also buying CD reissues, etc. Double Nickel is one of those where the CD reissue is just fine with me. I also had, and miss, Three Way Tie For Last.
	♥ 9:48pm ultradamno: Yeah, there's some pretty funny moments in Border Radio, like when "Craig" from "DDT Records" leaves messages for Chris D that seem to speak to some frustration there.

	♥ 9:41pm ultradamno: Certainly the label had a more focused identity then. 100 Flowers are underappreciated, there really is little significant difference between that incarnation and Urinals, but the earlier name seems to get more respect

	♥ 9:43pm ultradamno: It got a lot harder for good SST records to distinguish themselves against the field of all the other SST records after awhile. Same with Homestead
	♥ 9:45pm Rich in Washington: They did get fairly diversified in the mid to late 80s but the larger indies started trawling for bands and SST had some peculiar accounting practices. Nearly every band who left them had acrimonious legal battles with them.
	♥ 9:46pm Will the Sound Guy: I bought the minutemen double nickels on the dime and gave it to a friend... I need to get that double lp again. that copy was clean too
	♥ 9:48pm Rich in Washington: I foolishly gave a lot of my hardcore & punk records away in the late 90s and have been slowly buying some back but also buying CD reissues, etc. Double Nickel is one of those where the CD reissue is just fine with me. I also had, and miss, Three Way Tie For Last.
