The structure is this set (palindromic?) reminds me of Rob Sheffield’s preferred sequence for Beatles Revolver, which begins with And Your Bird Can Sing, scrambles up all the songs, and then closes with a reprise of Bird and Tomorrow Never Knows. (One problem is since Taxman is in the middle the count off 1-2-3-4 doesn’t start off the album.) (it’s from his bizarre “CDs are back” article in Rolling Stone)

Wigkey for those of us playing catch-up... :
' Anthony Davis (born February 20, 1951) is an American pianist and composer. He incorporates several styles including jazz, rhythm 'n' blues, gospel, non-Western, African, European classical, Indonesian gamelan, and experimental music. He has played with several groups and is also professor of music at University of California, San Diego.
Davis is perhaps best known for his operas; he has been called "the dean of African-American opera composers." His better known compositions include X, The Life and Times of Malcolm X, which was premiered by the New York City Opera in 1986; Amistad, which premiered with the Lyric Opera of Chicago in 1997; and Wakonda's Dream, which premiered at Opera Omaha in 2007. His opera The Central Park Five premiered on June 15, 2019 at the Long Beach Opera Company in California. It won him a Pulitzer Prize for Music on May 4, 2020. '

White Album - perhaps the least George Martiny of the George Martin albums (all but Let It Be) - even he thot it would be better distilled to one disc. I'm with Sir Macca that this is nonsense: the double album sprawl & pastiche of styles - & even glum disturbing mood are essential to the whole thing - their *only* double. It's perfect - & perfectly expresses 1968 - as of course they perfectly locked with the zeitgeist throughout the 1960s...
