It's a new place on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, called Allantic. Very nice, good beers, great thin crust pizza down the block (thought I'd take half the pizza home, but it didn't work out that way). Of course, this being Brooklyn, the beers are 10 bucks.

LG, I went to see Yo La Tengo for their 1st Chanukah show. Standing only, height of Omicron, people packed like sardines. I found a quiet place upstairs with a bannister to lean on, but still had to leave before the end (bad back, poor improvising)

I used to stand at the old Tonic to hear what I felt were the greatest musicians in the world. But my feet did not think so, and it was really distracting. I kept wondering why people at a symphony get to sit, but to hear the Peter Brotzmann Chicago Ten or Zorn’s latest group, you had to stand.
