	9:24pm Mr Fab: In Kraftwerk's "Robots" I never understood the line "we are dancing mechanic", since the pronounce it "mechan-IK." Not that it's good grammar anyway. So I thought they were saying "we are dancing neck-to-neck." I guess like how robots dance cheek-to-cheek? I didn't know.

I downloaded most of them until the blog was nuked, and now I can only find reference to the track listings online. But I didn't complete the series! I would love to find another Once Upon A Time downloader.

	🎸 ♥ 9:54pm Austin Rich: Mr. X: Those Once Upon A Time comps are all singles and tracks presented "chronologically" and by "region," starting with some proto punk stuff in 1970, and moving forward. I think I got to volume 11 or so before the blog was shut down. But they're mostly just trying to present a chronological punk archive, more than anything.

	10:01pm Mr. X: I first heard Ruby/Android Sisters when it was first broadcasted. I lived out in the woods where we couldn't get TV, only radio. We were constantly tuned in to NPR.

A combination of collage, new experimental records and other bits and bobs, Mid-Valley Mutations is a tour through the mind of Austin Rich, who has been broadcasting in some form since 1998. Heavily influenced by Dr Demento, Don Joyce and old fashioned College Radio, Austin creates Audio Essays on a variety of subjects, and even just plays records, from time to time. Sometimes Live music and Interviews will grace the program, helping create a situation where you don't really know what you're going to hear, when you tune in. What you need to know is when you enter the Mid-Valley region, be prepared for the Musical Mutations... in whatever form they take.
