Foutracbaldisco, oh, I didn't see that for Patrick Dewaere, certainly I recognize his face. I will look for "Serie Noire" (and some other films spoken of here) when I stop. . ."reviewing" "The Man Who Fell to Earth" with Chiwetel Ejiofor.

I think that Jarmusch lists Bunuel's Los Olvidados, too. That movie is dire. I can see how the director of City of God about the Favela in Brazil was influenced by that film.

I have the official app for Android and when I listen to a recent archive, there's a diskette icon in the upper right and that downloads it to the phone. Clicking the eighth notes in the upper left brings up a menu where the choice on the bottom is Saved Shows.

dan in wisconsin, yes, "Los Olvidados" blew my brains out, also Buñuel "Las Hurdes: Tierra Sin Pan."

@BBQJA, that doesn't work for me. That just downloads the tiny "listen" prompt thingamajig that activates VLC/iTunes/other software. I'm Windows; are you on Windows or Mac?

I dunno - I guess actual quality Cinema is too immersive & demanding for me... & generally costs money. Which I don't have. I wanna say I don't care about Cinema - but that's a lie - everybody cares about Cinema. Like people who say - to us - they don't care about Musics - but they're always listening to Musics anyhow. Or it effects them without them reflecting on it...
Yerknow - I'm always Listening...

...& - not to put too fine a point on it - one can keep these files ? Say - to an external drive ?

@BBQJA, I think that means it's still only accessible online, right? It's a prompt to start playing the online version of the streaming archive... from online. Online-ishly.

There is, or was, another option, years ago. Looks like it still works. Go to archive dot wfmu dot org then 5555 slash archive slash the two-letter show code. Truly downloadable. Enjoy.

Oops I left out the colon before the 5555. COLON 5555! Also, what's the frequency Kenneth?! WHAT'S THE FREQUENCY?!?!?

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Oh - .m3u. Yeah. In other words - a stream. Downloaded a prompt to the stream - not downloading the archive.
ike - Thx. Why must Tech be so opaque & arcane if it's so great...

oh, i was confused. when i play the file in itunes it says .mp3 but it indeed is not an mp3 file, just an audio stream. hmm, there's gotta be a way.
