Carmichael - too simple I'd fear. Tho term limits in Congress is an interesting idea. If people would just Vote - they could do that anyhow... Thing is, the Ted Kennedys & Bernie Sanders are veterans in there too - so careful what one wishes for... I think the real problem is the Money in Congress & in Elections - which keeps Reps occupied as fundraisers not problemsolvers ...to state the situation charitably...

Good question, Handy - to a considerable degree, depending on dialects and exposure. I've heard anecdotally that younger Slovaks have lost some of their ability to understand Czech due to reduced contact with the language.

Belated Thank you! David!

Besides being busy with work I did a bit of reading about the split into the Czech and Slovak Republics. I lean away from the splitting into smaller units of government but considering that it is written that they are closely cooperating and both are members of the EU I will reconsider that (as if my opinion matters, HAH). Anyway, thank you for another entertaining and thought stimulating episode.
