Jon Lucien reminds me of Leon Thomas but without the yodeling.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 7:41pm
doctorjazz:

I miss the yodeling-hard to find good yodeling these days! (no disrespect to Jon Lucien-I do like him)
Avatar 7:45pm
djnogoodnick:

I love this version of Maiden Voyage the most!!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 7:45pm
KimSorise:

To my ear, Jon Lucien is more akin to Terry Callier - and you know how much I love Mr. Thomas' yodel

This set is a revisit to my mid 70s tunes to calm and elevate; meditations. I'm wondering what you're programming after the Wyatt Last Straw.

Bingo! I was thinking Eno but wasn't sure, but yes, this one with Fripp.
  8:46pm
Dean:

I do not appreciate most of Eno's work, but I was recently attracted to a track on the local university station. I checked the playlist and learned it was Eno, Will have to investigate. (Also not a huge fan of Fripp.)

Glad I could offer a different listening experience for you. Thank you, Dean.

Not typical Grease fare-been digging, thanks, Kim!
  8:51pm
Dean:

There's the WFMU paradox, isn't it? You offered me the station's listening experience, which is per se different. Had it not been so--had it not been the same inasmuch as it's different--I would have complained that the experience you provided was insufficiently the same by being at once insufficiently different.

Does that make sense?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:54pm
KimSorise:

I think I am picking it up. If "The Heavenly Music Corporation" were played on most stations, folx would complain because it was "different". On WFMU - freedom is the form.

Andres:

You’re twisting my melon, man. I got it. I think.
