There's been something of a bar emergency in deepest, darkest Nunhead, south London, and my good friends Tony, Caro and John have asked me to step in and and sort it out. It actually kind of worked for me because I would not have heard (or even known of) Arb's Arbitrarium show. It's the lasts hour that's a clash. But as Sem said, thank God for the archives. Her other show inspired by John Waterss movies/soundtracks I can't make it too at all due to my time zone being entirely different. But again, thank God for archives!

By the way GG and all, I just saw Wigwam Revisited. It's more of a tribute band formed by the "new" Wigwam members (from the 1993 reunion lineup). But there's Jukka "Gutsi" Gustavson on keys & vocals, a Wigwam dude since 1969, so it certainly is worth seeing them

Sadly I don't know if I'll get to see that Wigwam Revisited/Vesa Aaltonen Band double bill, post-covid our equivalents of a Greyhound bus (between bigger cities etc.) have operated with rather reduced service so getting home to rural areas from cities like Helsinki is harder than before, and makes traveling for gigs annoyingly difficult for someone like me without a driver's licence.
I remember you getting a Fairyport 4LP deluxe box set, I am currently on the reservation queue (not a short one!) for a CD version of that and some live CD's, all Wigwam of course, from library.

For instance, earlier on there was 24/7 transport between Helsinki and Tampere.After Covid hit, there were no flights for a while and no passengers to /from Helsinki airport. The service is back but poorer. Trains run, but none after 11-something pm until four-five-ish. Can not afford hotels, and anyway prefer my dive of a home to them, if anyone can believe it.

Oh that sounds painful. I was thinking of traveling to Salo sometimes this year which I think I can only get to by bus from Helsinki. I was also thinking of visiting Tampere by Train, but now knowing that trains don't go after 11 PM means I would have to plan travels in advance and carefully. Thanks PCC2000. I hope all services get back aas they were before.

The good thing is if your train is cancelled, VR (Valtion Rautatiet) are obliged to get you to your destination, especially useful if the last train to Clarksville is cancelled as it were. A replacement bus or even a taxi or something will be there.
