I DID manage to actually use the large "MOM" mug that I made for Mom a million years ago. Figuring out what to do with her very 1970's needlepoint is another thing. It's in frames now, but given lack of wall space and a large L-shaped couch I am very tempted to have them made into throw pillows. She was a real artist that way -- she never used the assigned colors and did all kinds of elaborate patterns in large fields that would normally be one color, OR she did these amazing weaves and such. She also customized the colors to match rooms in the house, or in the case of one needlepoint of an actual house, customized it to match our actual house.

I DID manage to actually use the large "MOM" mug that I made for Mom a million years ago. Figuring out what to do with her very 1970's needlepoint is another thing. It's in frames now, but given lack of wall space and a large L-shaped couch I am very tempted to have them made into throw pillows. She was a real artist that way -- she never used the assigned colors and did all kinds of elaborate patterns in large fields that would normally be one color, OR she did these amazing weaves and such. She also customized the colors to match rooms in the house, or in the case of one needlepoint of an actual house, customized it to match our actual house.
