Pure Flamenco with Brook Zern

Brook Zern, expert on the traditional or "pure" flamenco of
Spain, shares his wisdom and views on the music (he is indeed a purist!), plays rare and classic recordings, and demonstrates a bit with his guitar.
Zern is Director of Flamenco Center USA
and Flamenco Editor of Guitar Review.
He has spent years in Spain documenting and studying the music. (A few of his essays are at http://www.deflamenco.com and http://www.allmusic.com.)
Starting October 12 Brook Zern will be teaching a continuing
ed class, Flamenco, the Art and the Life at CUNY Graduate Center, 365 5th
Avenue at 34 St. in Manhattan. The class will
meet 4 consecutive Tuesdays from 6-8:30pm and is open to the public. More information on this and other CUNY
