totally fair! I won't do any activity outside if the AQI is 100 or higher. That's a new acronym for you New Yorkers! I used to bike on the indoor trainer for NYC winters, but here in NorCal it's for smoky fire season. Also a friend who left the East Bay said his teen daughter had the condition where she was pulling her hair out because she was so nervous of the wildfire smoke.

Not much you take for granted more than the earth beneath you not shifting cataclysmically. Got used to tremors when in SoCal - like a big truck going by your door... You just hope they pass & don't keep going ...tho there are also different 'flavors' ...waves that pass from one horizon to the other ...sudden vertical shifts like a Bang...

the background of the image that is my avatar currently uses a picture i took of the sky suring the fires in fall 2020. no effects added. i think my lungs don't work as well since the fires that year and some others that surround it closely ... ectra hard to move your life of 20_ years during it too. i do not miss those days. or the smell.
