More re Moondogging project: "“Moondogging” is the hommage that O.E.S. (Orchestra Eclettica Sincretista) pays to the legendary figure of Moondog. O.E.S. worked on a song of his titled “Lovesong” that has a twin in an instrumental track titled “Fujiyama”. The song sings a story that is similar to the one of Tristan and Iseult or of Romeo and Juliet. A very tragic love story.

Some members of the O.E.S. collective contributed instrumental and vocal executions of the song or samples and some members contributed complete compositions or remixes of these materials."

I saw Ravi Coltrane Friday night-I expected some reference to his dad, but then quartet sounded incredibly like The Classic Quartet (Ravi leaning into the earlier "sheets of sound" mode). They played 2 Trane tunes, and even brought up a male vocalist to do Lush Life (they did play a bit with stop-start rhythms). They were tremendously accomplished, but I was a bit mixed about it (then again, for many years sax players "played Trane", as an earlier generation played Bird).

I hope you’re right and it’s a joke. There’s little tolerance for ambiguity in some parts. It’s concerning

Even before hearing him say L S D I'm hearing what I think is The Seeds using part of the song. Entertaining associations.

She plays in the UK semi-regularly, but never here. Not much of a market I guess, and the recurrent issue of the lack of mid-size venues. It's basically the basement of a bar or a 1000+ venue, precious little in between

So different than the musical theater demos that surface, where the composer sings in a competent but uninspiring voice accompanied by himself on piano. These are quite elaborate arrangements.

It may or may not help, but she does specific videos for upper back, lower back, trunk, strengthening. I stopped watching them (pretty much learned the moves-integrate them with phusical therapy stuff and spend a good 30 minutes a day doing them. Not an instant cure, but did wonders for my lower back (which intrathecal injections didn't help).
