Complete adjacent subject time! As a child/teen I witnessed a true NYC 1960s phenom: The sidewalk on the east side of Sixth Ave near 8th St was a sort of Hyde Park. Various left groups congregated with literature tables and aggressive leafetting, newspaper hawking. Various radical groups would get into loud arguments. The fuzz would come along, tell everyone to scram. 20 min. later the lit. tables were back. Today, I often ask people around town about this but nobody recalls, except me.

Live at the Whisky. Killer album. Some proclaim one of SS's solo's "the best guitar solo ever."

Saw these guys at the new Shapeshifter in BK a couple of weeks ago. Great set and a nice new space to keep an eye on. It’s where the old Tea Lounge used to be.

Hey hey @jeff soft opening. Miles put the word out quietly. They’re still getting their shop set up and maybe have a thing or two to finish but it’ll be a good spot so central on Union.
