Use it for NFL games and then download shows, put them on thumb drives, and watch them on it. It was the smallest one in the store and is still too big for the stereo shelf. I had to clamp plywood to the top to extend it a bit.

I’ve been wondering if I can educate my uneducated old-school flatscreen TV that hasn’t been fired up since I bailed on the cable company a few years ago. I’d love to cast my YouTubeMusic, YouTubeTV and NFL RedZone subscriptions to the TV to supplement my current usage of that stuff on my desktop computer and phone. Is anyone, that may be in-the-know, aware of an add-on or some gadget that can be added to make a dummy TV a straight-A student, and accept input of that media via Bluetooth or some other means? My guess is no… no such thing exists or it’s just way easier to buy a TV that comes “pre-schooled”.

I just need it to have an OTA antenna jack and a USB port. RCA inputs are nice for the DVD player, but that's currently being used as my CD player and hasn't been asked to do DVD work in a year or so. Probably more important for the VCR when I bring the emergency backup VCR home from its off-site location.

I’d like to cast to my dumb, old-school TV, ideally from my cell phone. That’s a big ask though - I think I’m SOL! The TV is just too old, as it only has an a few HDMI inputs and some assorted audio / coax inputs – no USB. I’ll just wish for a SmartAss TV as a Christmas stocking stuff and hope that that wish comes true!

Georgia Hubley needs no introduction, especially around these parts. But when she's not drumming and singing in the one and only Yo La Tengo, Georgia dons the moniker Little Black Egg. A loose, improvisatory project that delivers an almost liminal version of that special something that she so deftly brings to YLT, Little Black Egg will be rounded out with Ira Kaplan for a special live, in-the-studio performance on Burn It Down! Friday, May 3.

Part of the Queen City's takeover of the punk underground, Cincinnati's Choncy excel at the sort of tough, tight punk that is informed as much by arty DiY post-punk as it is by the standard-bearers of hardcore. Throw in some righteous anger and a little psych damage, and you have a real winner. Nate K. is proud to welcome Choncy to the show for a live performance on Friday, May 10.

Use it for NFL games and then download shows, put them on thumb drives, and watch them on it. It was the smallest one in the store and is still too big for the stereo shelf. I’ve been wondering if I can educate my uneducated old-school flatscreen TV that hasn’t been fired up since I bailed on the cable company a few years ago. I’d love to cast my YouTubeMusic, YouTubeTV and NFL RedZone subscriptions to the TV to supplement my current usage of that stuff on my desktop computer and phone. Is anyone, that may be in-the-know, aware of an add-on or some gadget that can be added to make a dummy TV a straight-A student, and accept input of that media via Bluetooth or some other means? My guess is no… no such thing exists or it’s just way easier to buy a TV that comes “pre-schooled”.

I just need it to have an OTA antenna jack and a USB port. RCA inputs are nice for the DVD player, but that's currently being used as my CD player and hasn't been asked to do DVD work in a year or so. Probably more important for the VCR when I bring the emergency backup VCR home from its off-site location.
