I think some of those DC5 tracks have Dave doing a basic drum track and Bobby Graham overdubbing a second drum track. If you listen to the stereo "Can't You See That She's Mine", it has a basic drum track and not much in the way of fills. The stereo mix is missing an overdub. The common mono mix has fills throughout.

Chili - Here's my Nuyorican story I mentioned story I mentioned erlier this week. My job when I lived in Washington State was working at a library selecting and delivering library materials to homebound patrons. With many of them I would sit and chat for a while.

One of the people who I delivered books to was Maria who is Puerto Rican and grew up in the Bronx in the 50s and 60s. She'd tell me stories about going to dances and boogaloo clubs. She was into so many great Nuyorican musicans.

It's interesting because what I always used to hear is - Dave Clark had much better Business Sense even early on than say - Lennon & McCartney, who ended up making bad deals & not owning their tunes !
