Her albums didn't sell well at all, but she ended up having a long career away from the spotlight: she spent some time in the Jerry Garcia Band, co-wrote "Change Of Heart" with Cyndi Lauper, provided vocals for "Schoolhouse Rock" and "Sesame Street." However, "Primordial Lovers" is what I'll always remember the best.

I think I can tell the difference -- and I like it! K8 wants to have some people over later this week for drinks, so I thought I might try this: Silent Night Servings: 6 • 10 ounces gin, preferably Plymouth • 10 ounces water • 3 3/4 ounces blanc vermouth, preferably Cap Corse • 1 1/4 ounce green Chartreuse • 25 drops Bittermens Molé Bitters Garnish: orange twist Directions 1. Combine all ingredients in a 750ml bottle and store in the freezer. 2. When ready to serve, pour into a chilled coupe and garnish with an orange twist.

It was 1984, and I was traveling with the band to Ambronay, where they performed. They convened in the hotel bar after the first night rehearsal. He bought a tumbler of it for me.

I think I can tell the difference -- and I like it! K8 wants to have some people over later this week for drinks, so I thought I might try this: Silent Night Servings: 6 • 10 ounces gin, preferably Plymouth • 10 ounces water • 3 3/4 ounces blanc vermouth, preferably Cap Corse • 1 1/4 ounce green Chartreuse • 25 drops Bittermens Molé Bitters Garnish: orange twist Directions 1. Combine all ingredients in a 750ml bottle and store in the freezer. 2. When ready to serve, pour into a chilled coupe and garnish with an orange twist.
