THis is not a guarantee, but, they should withstand the process. Drying them is important. They need to remain flat, especially older non-coater photographs. Some manipulation in the water may be necessary, but be very patient not to rip the emulsion.

My parents used to rent a house out there in the '70s, with a yurt in the backyard which was rented to various hippies as a separate unit. When my parents took me to see it several years later it had been converted into what appeared to be a yak farm. It makes complete sense that such a pure and strange little album would come from that town. I love it.
