(still kinda laying low bc -- sciatica . . . so i have been really out of the loop)

iirc -- Niagara's used to be King Tut's Wah Wah Hut (an old friend/co-worker did readings there, 1980s) . . . before that, 7A (although i think that entrance was on 7th Street? i remember being there when cops busted the place -- Drunk Driving (don't think it was Missing Foundation yet) was playing until really obvious, badly dressed undercover cops pulled the plug (they were attempting to dress "punk," but looked off -- at first i thought they were somebody's parents, until the guns and badges came out)

the 7A i had been to in the 80s was a totally illegal hole in the wall, on same corner where Wah Wah Hut opened -- that 7A did not have a liquor license, or even a license to operate (think i saw the False Prophets there too? buncha other "hardcore" groups too)
