I saw Stan Getz perform in 1987 at the Washbag (Washington Square Bar & Grill ) in San Francisco. But I didn’t really “see” him perform, only heard him. By the time I got there the restaurant was packed so had to stay near the bar by the door. I saw Stan enter the restaurant, he went to the next room and performed, which I could not see, only hear. And I saw him leaving the restaurant.

Chocolate! If you can find a Trader Joe's they have caffeinated dark chocolate bars for like $2 a pop. I buy a few, break them into pieces, and leave them in a tupperware container on the counter. Emergency coffee sorted!

when i was doing school last year, 8-5pm (or 6), i needed energy drinks just to sit through the entire zoom session, as i was also studying until 2am each night... didn't bother my heart at all, but I do have healthy cardio...

i was given quite the surprise when a mutual friend last weekend informed me (w/o me asking) that my ex had just moved back to nyc from sf last november w/ her bf to a 2.5M apt on 14th and 7th. he's an ai engineer w/ fb). it got weirder when my ex texted my friend the next day asking to hang out and my friend had to inform her that she was hanging out w/ me (ex was nonplussed, jejeje)

it's huge in korea, as students as young as 7 go to after school prep programs that last until 10pm, so, young kids use all of their money on energy drinks (korean shows even show the phenomena)
