I participated in a conference in Orlando back around 1990. Shuttle to and free admission to Disney World was a "perk" included. I went and got about 40 yards into the venue and then turned around and waited for the shuttle back to the hotel.

I never particularly wanted to go, even though we watched Wonderful World of Disney (I think that's what it was called?) on TV on Sunday nights when I was a kid. Just never cared much about amusement parks in general.

I was too addicted to the Peoplemover and the Enchanted Tiki Room to say anything nuteral here. Though I gave it all up when I discovered Las Vegas. I knew I found my REAL Disneyland!!

I last went to Disneyland in 1977. Lived maybe ten to fifteen miles away for decades, but I'm no fan of barf rides and all the "happiness" and "wonder" wore out quickly.

There was a brief time in late 1980 that I was a part of the Anaheim motel population and my mom would drop me off in Dland to kill a day or two. Things take a different view when you live within a couple of blocks from this place....and in a motel. VERY different...

i worked at a park called 'time town' in lake george in 1980. guy who worked for disney sold them an animatronic zeke bear, you could hear all the air pistons that made him move and he had a small compressor in his base buzzing away. three of us were dressed in bear jumpsuits and heads and danced around him. i really sweated and stunk that costume up.

Actually, I remember a Fourth of July in Montebello. I was a kid, and my family was visiting friends. One of the kids ignited fireworks that ended up setting a tree on fire. So, I do know half of it.
