I was in ATX last week kicking it with Candy-O last week. She took me to some great unofficial SXSW shows. Including seeing CC Adcock kick up some Cajun dust at a n awesome dive bar on the backside of Austin.

My dad passed on Sunday so I went up to Michigan pretty much straight from Austin. I did my best to help my mom out until she got too crazy (like for realz nuts), then I bailed. Back in Champaign now.

The good news is our good buddy HyperDose is getting the fuck out of Denver and rolling into Champaign on the Amtrack!

Doors' first album is the great one, I think most would agree. But I don't think they ever made a bad one. 'Soft Parade' is a classic example of an overproduced album. Morrison obviously was ...highly variable. But from start to finish, maybe. Tho more alcohol later ...didnt help...
