Happy BD, Dave! Good wishes to proggy gang! Two key points (ha ha) about the string synthesizers -- they were polyphonic when most synths were not (yet), and they were far more reliable and portable than a mellotron. Not nearly as 'characterful' of course.

Was rushing around on the road all Sunday and Monday -- Mary Ellen had a court appearance in Shreveport Monday at 10am, and we then drove two hours west to Canton, Texas to check the eclipse totality. So I am catching up on this missed show via archive at 4am Tuesday while working online, before starting the drive back home to New Orleans at 9am...
