If you're in NYC I can tell you that Paula Klein is totally top notch. Important to know what type it is in addition to stage. This is a hard journey, some is good, some is bad, but it is totally navigable.
	♥ 12:48pm Krys O.: I'm sorry to hear about your wife, Wild Neil. Two of my three sisters had breast cancer. One had a double mastectomy and did not require radiation or chemo. The other sister had a lumpectomy, then radiation and chemo. The only advice I can give is that you can reach out to the American Cancer Society for support and rides and such. They really help out.

	12:56pm rx "rexy" scabin: @Wild Neil\|\|Peace All we were fortunate to be able to go to Strong Hospital/ Wilmot Cancer Institute (Rochester NY)and its satellite in Batavia NY. It is very good. We would have gone there had we had to travel, so yes, find the best you can where you can. Find an oncologist who you trust and like and who is smart and who makes it a goal that you understand completely what is happening, may happen, and will happen. Breast cancer treatment has improved tremendously.

If you're in NYC I can tell you that Paula Klein is totally top notch. Important to know what type it is in addition to stage. This is a hard journey, some is good, some is bad, but it is totally navigable.

The other sister had a lumpectomy, then radiation and chemo. The only advice I can give is that you can reach out to the American Cancer Society for support and rides and such. They really help out.

We would have gone there had we had to travel, so yes, find the best you can where you can. Find an oncologist who you trust and like and who is smart and who makes it a goal that you understand completely what is happening, may happen, and will happen. Breast cancer treatment has improved tremendously.
