Not only are they inaccurate and kill, regularly, including children, by encouraging non-{actual treatment}, by placing the onus of not being cured by faith on the sufferer, they add unearned shame to illness.

Neat—I just heard Dana Gould's most recent podcast , which has a good segment of Roger Corman in its "True Tales from Weirdsville" segment.
