Live performance by SlowSix (Listen to this set: Pop-up)

In its regular configuration this eight-piece ensemble blends guitars, strings, a Rhodes piano, a laptop and video projections to form its unique brand of electronic chamber music. For their WFMU show, SlowSix was the trio of Christopher Tignor(electronics), Stephen Griesgraber (guitar) and Maxim Moston (violin). Slow Six merges the instrumental virtuosity and compositional rigor of classical music with real-time digital signal processing and luminous video landscapes. While listeners could only enjoy the audio portion of the show, Slow Six's effect on your senses is at once bracing and calming, adventurous yet accessible.
