Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Climax  Park Preserve (Excerpt)   Favoriting   Carousel  1972  45  The flipside of "Precious and Few". Here is a classic case of a band having an unexpected soft-rock hit, when what they really longed to do was be "heavy." One band member wrote "Rock and Roll Heaven" which was given to The Righteous Bros. Precious and Few author, Larry Nims, had a sister who went on to play violin with Garth Brooks.

Yoyoy Villame and the MB Liner Rondalla  Magellan   Favoriting   KR  1972  45  Wow ... turns out Mr. Villame was considered "The Father of Phillipine Novelty Songs." He recently passed away in 2007, but was quite a well-known singer/actor in The Phillipines. This was his first record, financed by the bus company he worked for as a driver.

I came across many Phillipino records at the flea market last weekend. Not knowing what they were, this is the one I picked, rather at random. I love it!

Some of you have been lamenting the absence of Kolonel Karl and Dusty. I could go into a littany of excuses. I guess I have just been giving them a break. They will return. Anyway ... thanks again for taking time out of your life to check out the Dusty Show. I REALLY do appreciate it.

Last week I got NO CALLS on the D-SAM and it makes me sad. Give me a ring and read a poem or talk politics or anything you want.

I look forward to hearing from you! Until next time my friends, take care and ... always remember.
