  3:10pm
Rock and Hard Place:

I'll bet you wouldn't like those songs if James Taylor sang them. In French.
  3:10pm
Cecile:

Delurking for MASTODON.
I haz my tickets
  3:11pm
Parq:

Sean? I think *not*!
  3:19pm
Glenn L:

Glad to see your still lurking, Cecile.
I was about to file a missing Commentors report w/the
Minneapolis Police.
  3:20pm
fishmonkeystew:

luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurk. lurk. lurk. lurk.
  3:25pm
Cecile:

I just needed a break from yesterday, Glenn L.
Now I'm going back to my cave, but digging the sounds.
  3:28pm
Sam Cooke:

all day long we don't hear her..

That's the sound of Cecile,
Lurkin' in abstain...pay-ee-ain...
  3:29pm
Glenn L:

I heard you were laying low because you relinquished all
of your marathon pledges and gave all the $ to Sham-Wow.
  3:30pm
Cecile:

sssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
On the plus side, I'd have to be an idiot to not do it.
  3:31pm
Glenn L:

LOL!
  3:34pm
GP:

Hey Diane!

Cecile: Heard that Sham Wow dude got arrested the other day with a hooker...so you better be getting your coin back cause its going to illicit purposes.
  3:35pm
still b/p:

How do you like your strange-beef-and-police-mugshot boyfriend, Vince, nowwwww?
  3:39pm
Glenn L:

Yeah, let's see Sham Wow clean up this mess.
  3:40pm
GP:

Good one Glenn....LOL..That would have been a perfect headline!
  3:41pm
still b/p:

Ya following me, probation guy?
  3:41pm
Cecile:

Oh, darn, I had hoped he was buying dope with it. Like he said. Bastage.

I got soaked in the deal, apparently.
  3:41pm
Jøe Steele:

Actually I heard he got charged with assaulting said hooker.
  3:44pm
Parq:

I hate to exhibit my pop-culture ignorance, but who is the Sham Wow Guy? TV commercial spokesman, I'm guessing? Cecile, glad to see you're still with us. Yesterday was exhausting, wasn't it?
  3:45pm
Cecile:

oh, vince! not cool.
Yes, yes it was. It was fine until about, oh, 3:45...:(
  3:45pm
GP:

I don't even know what "Grifte Frid" means but I want it on a T-shirt.

Here is the Sham WOw story of the arrest:
http://tiny.cc/ItsaSham
  3:45pm
Cecile:

Sham-wow is this commercial, and Vince is the obnoxious spokesman for it. We used to like his pitch, until he turned creepy.
  3:48pm
Glenn L:

Sham Wow will absorb any liquid!
Blood, sperm, urine, you name it!
Not only that it's an ideal tool for hiding
Incriminating Evidence!!
  3:50pm
Parq:

Not sure that this fits in w/ D-Kam's show (not sure that it doesn't, either), but my sweetie has confirmed that we're seeing Southern Culture on the Skids next month. Woah yeay-uh!
  3:50pm
Mayhem:

You mean only if you use the same camera tricks they do.
  3:54pm
fishmonkeystew:

Parq, that is too cool. Now I'm going to look and see if they'll be playing up my way.
  3:54pm
GP:

Parq..now THAT will be a cool show. Wish I could have afforded to go to SXSW to check them out again.
  3:59pm
Bäd R☺nald:

BTO - nice!
  4:00pm
Parq:

Hate to show my age, but can anyone in metro NYC tell me about the Bowery Ballroom? Is it a good venue? Not that I got a choice . . .
  4:01pm
Parq:

Loved to play this BTO riff when I was a kid.
  4:02pm
Carmichael:

Shades of yesterday. Only way cooler.

And that Shamwow guy looks kinda like Adam Carolla.
  4:06pm
Glenn L:

Bowery Ballroom's great, Parq!
Maybe 500 person capacity. EAW Speakers!!!!
Best views are from the Balcony.
  4:08pm
Carmichael:

Sally Crewe isn't related to Bob Crewe, I'm hoping? She's not likely to be his daughter, anyway.
  4:09pm
julian:

  4:13pm
Carmichael:

Rocket From the ....

julian:

  5:18pm
munkee:

wheres diane?
  5:20pm
GP:

I'd see just about any show for free. I just saw Taylor Swift and she actually put on a really good show, but unfortunately the sound system sucked <insert "How could tell" reply here>
  5:23pm
RagnarR in SF Bay:

Ooh this Orcstus is mighty fierce. Though the production could use some work. (Too much tinny, "sp-speesssh" sound").
  5:25pm
julian:

\m/
  5:27pm
GP:

Ragnar.
We should start a production company for metal bands. Almost all of them have crappy sound engineering ( I know some of them want to sound that way)...well maybe a lot of them can't afford good sound...
  5:31pm
Holly Diver:

DIO
  5:32pm
Sean Daily:

Klaatu... baratta... nmblfmf.
  5:33pm
GP:

"Who are me"/ Maybe he needs to find a grammar book insttead of dabbling in that black book...what do you say to that Mr. Dio?

Sean D...LOL.."Did you say the words?"
  5:34pm
GP:

Whoa..and it looks like I need a spelling book.
  5:35pm
lolcat:

Dio talk gud 2 me
  5:37pm
GP:

I can say that I am seriously rocking to this tune though...Air guitar and all that going on here.
  5:42pm
Sean Daily:

itteh bitteh satanik kitteh committeh wook in bwack bibul 4 spel to makez cheezburger
  5:43pm
RagnarR in SF Bay:

@ GP Great idea! Though, there are exceptions - Ludicra and High On Fire sound just fine. Though Orcustus must be going for the 1993-97 lo-fi Black Metal sound. That said, they're practically E.L.O. vs. something like Ildjarn.
  5:44pm
GP:

10-4 on that RagnarR
  5:46pm
Sean Daily:

This Hammerfall song makes me feel all dirty and naughty and ee-villlll.
  5:47pm
ALL-CAPS MAN:

YUH, SATYRICON
  5:48pm
Luna:

my sentiments exactly...Satyricon always puts an evil smile on me face.
  5:49pm
GP:

I know I say this practically every week....but.....I can't make this one loud enough.
  5:52pm
Sean Daily:

HOLY SHIT... HOLY SHIT... HOLY SHIT...
  5:54pm
GP:

Sean,
Are you on fire or did you just win the lottery?
  5:56pm
Sean Daily:

No, me like Indricothere! When you can barely distinguish between beats on the bass drum, even with double bass pedals, that's worth of a couple "Holy Shit"s.
  5:57pm
GP:

Yeah, I have no idea how these guys can play so fast; it is sick.
  6:02pm
GP:

Ha ha, that National Romance League was like a country song (lyrics wise) turned into metal..
  11:42am
Keith:

I dig that organ on the Mudhoney track.
