Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Laird's Message
Laird gave me an amazing postcard with a picture he took of the burning towers, He, like many I interviewed, came back to the moments of 9/11 and it was easy to see the pain was still there. Thank you, Laird, for the photo. It will be treasured.

Thanks for checking out the show. It is a touchy thing doing a 9/11 show, especially in the NYC area. I was discussing this with Station Manager Ken, who said that most DJ's are afraid to broach the subject. I think I might feel the same way had I actually lived in the city in '01 and had I witnessed the horrors that day. Perhaps living in Milwaukee at that time gave me and gives me a detachment that makes it possible. I hope that I haven't been insensitive to those who may still find the memory of 9/11 traumatic. I realize some of my sound effects are pretty graphic. I also want to note that I don't mean to maliciously lift other reporters interview material for The Dusty Show. In the future I will attempt to be more careful about notating my sample sources in show notes. I had never really considered the legality of it and thought of it more like an art project, creating audio collage from existing sources to add to my own creative content.

I hope that you didn't lose anyone in the 9/11 attacks. I hope that you have made your peace with events that day and that you and I can make it a point to spread love where we can and to make it a more peaceful world.

That's it for this week. Drop me a line if you find time,

Until next time, take care ... and ...

always remember .........
