Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Davice:

Hello? Is there anyone there?
  6:34pm
I̥͔ke:

Fabio's reaction to Clay's mention of Hootie & the Blowfish was PRICELESS. And concise. And accurate.
  6:34pm
Matt from Springfield:

Clay: You keep seeking affirmation, TURN ON YOUR COMMENTS whenever you're on! They are always 100% positive, particularly with your show!
  6:34pm
Skirkie:

It was Clay's first marathon show last year when I had my first phone answering phones. It's when I met Wendy, despite what you hear on the internet about Guantánamo.
  6:34pm
Brian in Madison, WI:

Clay's interview with the former member of Old Skull is one for the ages.
  6:35pm
Skirkie:

First "shift answering phones", not first "phone answering phones"
  6:36pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Hamburger: Are you the previously-mentioned "Bryn" from the UK, but not "Brian in UK"?
  6:36pm
Bryn / Hamburger:

Oh you'll ready them out will you? ' I clay pigeon, will turn on the comments board, on all my shows - so help me GOURD' @Matt. Yes. Bryn. Not Bryan. Not BURRNN
  6:38pm
Brian in Madison, WI:

Clay - join Fabio's bocce ball team and give up skiing.
  6:38pm
minnesota jeff:

This is the best show on WFMU. Love it, love it, love it, love it!!
  6:38pm
dale:

i'm skipping my meds this month to give to fmu.
  6:38pm
Matt from Springfield:

Thanks Bryn! (Btw, if you were "hamburger and chips", you could be TWO different things, depending which country you're in!)
  6:38pm
Skirkie:

Clay, you remind me of me with this insecurity stuff.
  6:38pm
Bryn / Hamburger:

See, where else would you hear someone talkin' promoting Marlboro Lights scratching that itch??
  6:39pm
507:

Weed is actually cheaper than tobacco
  6:39pm
Greg from VA:

Please take some digital photos of the aural Triumvirate in pledge mode and put on the FMU Flickr site ... need to see the glow that only comes in sounds.
  6:40pm
dale:

clay, will the promo be on the cd? it's a gem unto itself.
  6:40pm
Matt from Springfield:

I empathize with your insecurity Clay! I think you could be a perfectionist like myself. See, look at all this VALIDATION you're getting! I've been commenting for a year now and I'm disappointed when DJs DON'T have comments!
  6:40pm
Brian in Madison, WI:

The Day-Glo Pew sounds like a rock band from Ottumwa, Iowa.
  6:40pm
Davice:

Jacob and I want to hear Dusty and Co. Carl!!!
  6:41pm
Davice:

Love Uriah Heep!
  6:41pm
another david:

So glad I quit smoking when they were only $10 a pack-- that much easier to send a pledge to Clay!
  6:42pm
Brian in Madison, WI:

Where is Star Castle?
  6:42pm
Davice:

I started smoking when Clay came back!
  6:43pm
Scott in Omaha, NE:

I finally met someone that saw Froggie Beaver back in the 70's.
  6:43pm
andre:

keep up the magic-tripod!....I already pledged $75 during fab's show, but that was meant as $25 for each of you! (@Clay: love you for the "hootie and the blowfish" comment)
  6:43pm
Matt from Springfield:

Clay: Oh, I asked this on Fabio's board -- does Clay's Classics III have any songs from the Maxell cassette rock sampler you've played?
  6:44pm
I̥͔ke:

@Matt@6:34, not if I'm in a bad mood and I comment on Clay's musical selections. But I try not to do that. It's bad form. And maybe bad karma.

Did I mention that the triumvirate is titanically terrific?
  6:44pm
Brian in Madison, WI:

How about Colonel Carl singing a Uriah Heep medley?
  6:45pm
Matt from Springfield:

Everyone else complains about the math questions, but I'm complaining about questions being too easy! Everything was coming up 545 (542+3, 543+2) then 745 (742+3), now 743 (742+1). Shop for some new algorithms!
  6:46pm
Scott in Omaha, NE:

Thanks for pimpin my Barcode Art website.
  6:46pm
Froggy Bieber:

It's the lull!
  6:46pm
Greg from VA:

If not for the Dusty Show, I would of joined a cult long ago ... thank you for keeping me in the plane ... of the sane ... where there is no loss but a lot to gain!
  6:47pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Ike: What I meant was the comments, esp. Clay's on Fabio's board, are always encouraging. Really the last mean comment I saw on FMU was that weirdo on BT's show about a month ago, and everyone quickly repelled that troll. As for Clay, I think his voice brings PEACE to all...
(540+3, 543!)
  6:47pm
Bryn / Hamburger:

None of the math questions requiring 'carrying over' - sup wit dat?
  6:48pm
I̥͔ke:

I assume Kenzo calibrated it just to keep out spammers, not to give you an exciting challenge Matt! Heh. That said, if it were harder on Fri. nights only, that might keep out the severely drunken loonies that come out of the woodwork seemingly only at that time.
  6:48pm
Brian in Madison, WI:

$$$ = mental truss for Clay
  6:50pm
Matt from Springfield:

I already mailed a Mouse Pledge in full, but next year I'm planning on mailing $75 with the form, then call in to all my favs and work my way up. I understand many pledgers do that. I also "need" to request a YLT song tomorrow!
  6:52pm
Greg from VA:

Om Mani Padme Dusty, I chant this every Thursday at 6 PM, and so far, I've almost seen the light!
  6:56pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Julie: Clay didn't invite you to the Catskills dinner because he knows you don't like BORSCHT. Zing! Aw, I tellya I get no respect!
  6:57pm
Matt from Springfield:

You're getting a lot of DJ love tonight!
  6:59pm
rip van winkle:

i love the catskills
  7:01pm
dale:

future farmers of america? haven't heard that in awhile!
  7:02pm
