vivian if you are southern then look into farmers in your area and see what they raise, i understand it's best to get a bird who can handle your climate, then you wont stress them out. And we all know what happens when you stress out a bird (at least my neighbors do when my husband startled ginger in the nest box @ 6:30 this morning and she let out such a series of cackles! yikes
