	6:19pm sfrances: Clay: I have a sincere issue that I'd love you (& listeners if inclined) to weigh in on...I've been contracting as a temp employee for a major bank/corporation for the past 18 months. I'm paid well above the minimum wage per hour for 40 hours/week even though I usually have only 5-20 hours of work per week. I work from home most of the time:so I'm getting paid to do laundry, garden, & to work on my art/photography. I have a long history of protest, activisim,and most of my consumer $ goes to the used/black market. When I hear others complain about gov't wasteful spending: I use my own examples of corporate waste. So how much bad karma am I earning to play Robin Hood as an employee? I'm genuinely curious about your perspective, you know how down I am with OWS.

	6:28pm sfrances: @kat330: well from that perspective, 90% of my WFMU listening time is done during my precious leisure time. and yes, I donate to WFMU as well as a couple of non-WFMU podcasts...the bulk of my income goes towards non-corporate/mainstream spending...
	6:31pm kat330: Well, sfrances, I don't think you should be karma concerned at all. Everyone's doing a dance of what's best for the environment, what's best for society, and what's best for oneself. Being conscientious is the primary thing, and clearly you are that.
	6:31pm sfrances: @Philo: that's also the Steve Albini method of being a record producer. ;) He'd charge rich bands loads of $ for his services so that would underwrite him working cheap for poorer/more indie bands.

	7:13pm Dan B From Upstate: Really good point, other david, but I'd have to be a pessimist and guess that the only thing that will ever cause humanity to look elsewhere is a lack of or complete exhaustion of resources. I'm thinking aliens wouldn't leave for the same reason.

	7:16pm other david: I think by the time we'd actually get our butts in gear and decide it's time to leave, it would be too late. At least based on looking at how we react to threats facing us now. I believe there's probably alien life, that it's possible they have been here at some point.. but honestly, ufologists are.. prone to believe all nonsense and there just is no evidence that they've been here. Some interesting cases... but.... nothing that would stand up to rigorous scientific enquiry. Also this caller.. eh..

Too many delusional people out there believing a) they'll be raptured soon anyway or b) even if no rapture, then somebody at some time will come up with some way to save us all, so let's just continue consuming at the current rate. Heads in the sand is an understatement.

Thanks for listening to this show, I hope you enjoyed it. As happens sometimes, I really didn't have a cohesive program prepared, so I had to kind of cobble together some interviews, music and what-not into 60-minutes of something. I did enjoy working in the digital format for the first 19-minutes of the show. It's very time-consuming, but I do like it and hope to do more in the future when I can. The possibilites are endless. I also have to say that I was THRILLED to meet Paul Williams and to interview him. What a tremendous talent, and I am so pleased that he is doing well again and is featured in the new Stephen Kessler doc ... Paul Williams Still Alive, which I HIGHLY urge you to check out. Also, thanks to those who have been supportive when I read stories on the air that I have written. 	7:13pm Dan B From Upstate: Really good point, other david, but I'd have to be a pessimist and guess that the only thing that will ever cause humanity to look elsewhere is a lack of or complete exhaustion of resources. I'm thinking aliens wouldn't leave for the same reason.

I believe there's probably alien life, that it's possible they have been here at some point.. but honestly, ufologists are.. prone to believe all nonsense and there just is no evidence that they've been here. Some interesting cases... but.... nothing that would stand up to rigorous scientific enquiry. Also this caller.. eh..
