A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Good day T & all, looking forward to your guest. Just wondering if you're winging the interview or if you have set of questions ready. I hope there's a couple toughies in there and not all soft ones. Have fun.

kat330:

@tim: A quick breeze through the online link, noticed greater detail often on his flora while his fauna are always expressionist / primitive. Plants of higher intelligence?

Hello trouble & folks. just spent an unexpected four days in Prague. Had my head turned around by Alphons Muchas' set of 20 paintings 'Slav Epic'. Stunning in size & ambition.

Doug C.:

The same sort of thing is true with modern architecture and modern art re: "I don't like Jazz". Inevitably people say they like it when they see an artist's work who resonates with them but have some reason why that one is okay but the category is not.

I know in the early days of the Lounge Lizards they came under some fire for having a cheeky attitude towards jazz. Perhaps not being respectful enough, which seems silly now, but I wonder if John could speak about that if he hasn't already.
  11:24am
Andy in Iowa City:
