Listener comments!

  11:03am
David in ATL from NJ:

Saw the Zombies a few years back on the tour that Little Steven put together. They were still very good. Looking forward to the interview, Michael.
  11:04am
Mike East:

that Springsteen profile in the New Yorker was really great. I xeroxed a few copies to pass on to some friends. Because of it, I've been listening to my 5 LP box of Springsteen Live '75-'85...that is, when I'm not listening to Superhits of the '70's, which I received last Friday and hasn't left my CD player. I can't put into words how much I appreciate all the work you put into that, Michael.
  11:06am
Jane Doe:

Where did that alternate version of She's Not There come from? It was wonderful!
  11:15am
Mike East:

Geez - Leon Wieseltier is really cynical. I think writing about writing about music might be even worse than dancing to architecture.
  11:29am
Bobby:

Every time I hear that Bridge's song, I think of this Gilbert poem:

seang:

maybe springsteen is cynical
  11:37am
Dano:

So great to hear some Big Sandy! I should get my #1 Club card, make me proud!
  11:38am
Mariano:

Collin Blunstone: for a moment I thought it was Murray Head!
  11:40am
Dano:

The New Yorker piece actually was less 'ass-kissy' than, say, anything Dave Marsh ever wrote on Bruce. I welcomed the candid insights from BS, Patti, Steven. For a magazine piece, it was lengthy and had some depth, covering AN ENTIRE CAREER.
  11:42am
Bob:

My enthusiasm for that Springsteen piece was dampened by seeing him on Charlie Rose first. Everything about it was pretentious and irritating. Rose is sort of clueless on a good day I know, but the author was little better.
  11:42am
tomB:

Viva TK Folger!
  12:03pm
Andrew from SPFLD:

Great show, Mike. Got my #1 Hit Club card yesterday, and it's proudly displayed in my office. My wife couldn't be happier for me.
  12:06pm
Parq:

Slow on the pick-up here, but dug his name-checking Gus Dudgeon --- haven't heard that name in forever. Very enjoyable interview so far.
  12:08pm
anthony:

play some eagles
  12:10pm
Bob:

Just saw the link to the Wieseltier piece. He makes good points about Bruce's general decline. No one ever seems to call the boss out on his overproduction though. Why do you need six guitar players on stage and twenty on each record boss?
  12:29pm
Jane Doe:

Great interview! Colin definitely does not disappoint.
  12:43pm
Bob:

Terry Williams' drums stand out like nobody else's.
  12:43pm
drewo:

Very enjoyable interview with Colin Blunstone. He sounds forever young. I saw the Zombies show at Town Hall some years back (with Love opening) - great show. Thanks Michael.
  12:46pm
Connie T. Empress:

Great interview with Colin B: insightful and so genuine: a plesure as always. With #1s too?! What a Saturday!!Thanks Michael!
  12:51pm
steve:

Fantastic interview, Michael! As in concert, Colin comes across as a truly nice guy. (The anti-Emmitt Rhodes?) There's a terrific DVD of the Odessey & Oracle 40th anniversary concert that's essential.
  12:52pm
Jane Doe:

Ha, Steve! I was thinking the same thing about Emmit.
  12:55pm
SeanT:

Mike, Lovin the Band of Gold. Never heard this version before.
But also a reminder of how devastating a skip can be. I was already so far into the insta-groove that I think I had a cardio-event.

Matt:

Excellent show and interview. Always enjoy your 2 hours BUT today seemed extra FANTASTIC!!

Eugene Bentley:

I love the show. I am a BIG Zombies fan. I loved the entire Odessey and Oracle album since the 70s when I seriously listened to the album. It's great to hear Blunstone's interview. I saw a comment about Murray Head and I have noticed that Blunstone's and Head's voices are very similar.
