Listener comments!

  3:05am
KP:

Hey, Bill.
Summer's almost gone.
  3:08am
Martyn:

Good morning Bill, KP and all.
Long time since I heard that PLU track, must dig out the albums and listen again.
Avatar 3:10am
Bill mac:

Morning Gents,
Summer's kind of going out with a bang this year. Still got hot weather, and Hurricane Isaac should be up midweek with some wetness... we sure do talk a lot about the weather here!
  3:10am
Looms:

Good morning Bill, KP, Martyn and everyone. Let's groove!
  3:13am
Martyn:

Talking about the weather, the rain is going sideways here.
  3:22am
Steve:

Murder Ballads, wow
  3:23am
Brian in UK:

Hello Bill, KP, Martyn, Looms. Good luck with the Finnish pronounciation.
  3:31am
Looms:

Speaking of preniums, Bill, I would love to hear more from The Holy Sisters Of The Gaga Dada.
Hi Brian!
Avatar 3:47am
Bill mac:

Hey Everybody! Holy Sisters of the Gaga Dada... hubboy, you know, that was the only song of theirs I ever heard myself, it originally came off of a SST comp I think. I'll hafta do some diggin' on them to see what else I could come up with.
  3:47am
Brian in UK:

Great mix, Bill.
  3:50am
Looms:

I'll try to look for more stuff too, the track you picked up is amazing.
  3:50am
ifny:

Honestly, we only have good taste in radio.
  3:53am
Brian in UK:

Julie Driscoll
  3:57am
ifny:

Good point. Maybe we just have taste.
  4:00am
ifny:

If anyone likes accordion music, my local freeform station has an accordion show called Accordion Noir -- online archives ftw! I won't crassify the comments by posting a link; you all have Teh Google I'm sure.
  4:00am
Brian in UK:

Taste - Rory Gallagher? Played the saxophone.
  4:03am
M:

Pohjonen was in a trio called KTU with Pat Mastelotto and Trey Gunn
Avatar 4:04am
Bill mac:

I'll definitely check it out, ifny. too bad I wasn;t aware of your stuff a year and a half ago. Might have been a worthy addition to the accordion premium.
  4:19am
William Swan, Jr.:

The image on the homepage right now is negative because it glorifies bullying.
  4:19am
ifny:

There's always next year...not my stuff though, to be clear as mud. It's my local station -- oldest co-operative station in Canada (c. 1975). However the accordion hosts are part of my show collective (music of the resistance + a bicycle show). Kissing cousins if you will.
  4:20am
ifny:

Not to mention I'm lately focusing on the kazoo (electric and acoustic). But enough about me!
Avatar 4:22am
Bill mac:

Hey Will, you talking about the young lady covered in flour? They haven't even filleted her yet.
  4:25am
Brian in UK:

@ifny you could hook up with the swanny whistle. Good paring.
Avatar 4:25am
Bill mac:

Cool ifny, we have a kazoo expert inhouse here - he useta to do recitals with a group during his high school daze.
  4:26am
ifny:

Augh Deerhoof is so amazing. Even though I don't like this particular song, I can't argue with perfection.
  4:30am
ifny:

Bill Mac: any recordings survive?
Avatar 4:33am
Bill mac:

I wish the Deerhoof songs were longer. The new one's a cracker
  4:34am
Brian in UK:

Bill, is there a suspicion that the expert is YOU?
  4:35am
Looms:

"bad clothing taste doesn't kill"... Pretty funny lyrics (and great set)

Jay /London:

good morning Bill and all had a very late night out .. must get coffee

No Sir! My music experience doesn't extend beyond the screaming I do with Hoof n' Mouth
Avatar 4:37am
Bill mac:

Hey Jay! Get Coffee!
  4:37am
ifny:

Deerhoof has a few 8 min songs, but yes, often very short. I think their shortest is 8 seconds. Not even wafer thick!
Avatar 4:42am
Bill mac:

Is that a play on a phrase in the infamous Monty Python Mr Creosote routine?
  4:51am
ifny:

Damn! Chris Brokaw played in Vancouver tonight. But it's 1:49am now. Damndamndamn. I have no one to blame but myself.
Avatar 4:53am
Bill mac:

Muchas gracias, Looms!
  4:54am
Brian in UK:

ifny do not beat yourself up. I went to Dublin on a day trip, not knowing there was a huge Barry Flanagan exhibition there. I was five minutes walk away. He passed away a few years later. Still niggles me but.........

Avatar 4:57am

I'll have something to say about the Chris Brokaw situation momentarily.
  5:06am

Hehe thanks Bill! Glad to hear about the Oct show. You see I neglected to scroll down. No one to blame but myself for that either. <Noggin cycle begins anew>

Stanley, a cross border raid?

Bill, I sent a note via the house monitor, does this mean detention? Stay behind after class and try to decipher the writing on CD covers.

@Mr Burger True what they say - if you find one sneaker there's 1000 of them behind the wall...
