Danzig and Rick Rubin rode their motorcycles to Roy Orbison's place and threatened to beat him up if he didn't do that song.

BadGuyZero:

Chuck Biscuits played drums on that track.

I will do you one better and sing the bubble party song from the Spongebob Squarepants movie.

Who will make me gluten-free pizza tonight?
Avatar 3:42am
BadGuyZero:

I hate to be a tease, but if I lived up there I would attempt to make gluten-free pizza for you. Or acquire one made by somebody else.

I haven't had an electric train in close to twenty years. People still give me Lionel Trains-related gifts [which I do not need].

amEdeo:

I actually made a fairly successful and exciting one the other day. It was a poor-man's grandma pizza. Round but still grandma pizza-esque.
Avatar 3:52am
BadGuyZero:

So what exactly does a "grandma pizza" consist of? 'Cause the first time I ever heard of one was when you and Therese were talking about them a few weeks back. I guess the concept hasn't made it to Texas.
Avatar 3:54am
BadGuyZero:

Also, I assure you that I am not making a habit out of sending you a text during the "Therese & amEdeo" segments of your program.
Avatar 3:57am
amEdeo:

Hahah. I did not even see that until just now. But you totally should have posted it.
Avatar 4:00am
amEdeo:

It's a Sicilian pizza (rectangular deep-dish) which has reversed the order of cheese and sauce. Also, NO SAUCE! Instead there are diced tomatoes... and usually garlic. Think that's about it. I made kind of a lumpy circular pie since I don't have a fancy square pizza-magic dish. But it was really tasty.
Avatar 4:02am
BadGuyZero:

FYI: ROVA Saxophone Quartet is the artist on the previous track. The track is called "Grace" and it's from a various artists collection called "Transparent Messenger - Prusvitny Posel." I was tring to find where it came from as it had a John Zorn-ish quality. I want to check out more from Rova SQ.
Avatar 4:04am
BadGuyZero:

Hmm...Chicago deep dish is like that [cheese on the bottom with diced tomatoes on top]. Is it a regular thin crust or is it more akin to a pan pizza [though not necessarily deep dish]?
Avatar 4:04am
amEdeo:

Nice catch! The case only has the artists listed on the tracks, not their names.
Avatar 4:07am
BadGuyZero:

AAAAAAAAAAACCCKKKKK!!!
Avatar 4:09am
amEdeo:

Sicilian- from my limited experience- is a bit thicker than Chicago style pizza.
Avatar 4:09am
amEdeo:

(limited experience with Chicago pizza)
Avatar 4:11am
BadGuyZero:

Yeah...I found the album info on ROVA's site then used that to track down the album on Discogs. Looks like it's not readily available. They didn't have a link to purchase it on their site; none are for sale on Discogs; and Amazon has no record of its existence.
Avatar 4:14am
BadGuyZero:

Chicago pizza is weird. When I was in high school an Uno's opened in Dallas. So for many, many years I thought all Chicago pizza was deep dish. My actual pizza experiences in Chicago have been that thin crust pizza is preferred significantly more than deep dish. They also have a penchant for cutting the pizza into square-shaped slices instead of triangular slices.
Avatar 4:18am
amEdeo:

That stinks, there are mp3s out there somewhere on the internet.
Avatar 4:19am
BadGuyZero:

Is that Aimee Mann?
Avatar 4:20am
amEdeo:

OH YEAH! Two of my grandparents used to live in Chicago and they would go crazy for the square-shaped thin crust pizza! I liked it!

And yes, it is Aimee Mann.

I've had several bowls of Cocoa Puffs today. The supermarket nearest to me had boxes on sale for $1.79!

Avatar 4:34am
BadGuyZero:

Were you singing "Magic" by Pilot?
Avatar 4:41am
BadGuyZero:

I thought the Half Japanese track might be Happy Flowers, a band that had some of the best song titles ever.
Avatar 4:59am
amEdeo:

Panettone?! I don't think I've ever had that, what's in it?

I was indeed singing "Magic" by Pilot. Haven't actually heard that song in years, JUST LIKE COCOA PUFFS which I haven't eaten since I was 8. HOW DO THEY HOLD UP?
Avatar 5:00am

Maynard G. Krebs found a baby in the park. Dobie and Zelda want him to turn it into the police, but Maynard wants to take care of it himself.
Avatar 5:25am
amEdeo:

Pierre: That sounds delicious. I have always wanted to eat Christmas!

BGZ: Oh cool!! In other news, what's a Maynard G. Krebs?
Avatar 5:30am
BadGuyZero:

Maynard G. Krebs is a character portrayed by Bob Denver [best known as Gilligan on "Gilligans Island"] on "The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis."

Try placing a wet tea bag on the burn.
Avatar 5:45am

but a lot of things taste like Christmas, non ?
