The Illuminati has already selected the new pope.

Wait, is the show title accurate? Because that would mean Andy Breckman shares a birthday with Miriam Makeba. And that Andy's and Ken's birthdays are only a week apart.
Avatar 3:23am
amEdeo:

Supposedly it was yesterday. Though I would not invest very much trust in my source.
Avatar 3:24am
BadGuyZero:

The pope was in the helicopter.

Aah, Julie Brown in the morning...

Wonder if it was the Pope-Copterâ„¢?
Avatar 3:30am
amEdeo:

Just checked wikipedia. Says it was indeed the 3rd of March. Unless Andy's Wikipedia page is wrong once again.

I'm scheduled to be at the station on the 12th when you're co-hosting with White Bread.

I saw this movie in the theater at least a dozen times.

amEdeo:

Ooboyo. I really need to email him. No idea what we're doing for that. Thanks for reminding me. Yeah, I'll be hanging around later that night to work phones.

amEdeo:

A dozen times? I would like to take this moment to confess that I have seen the film a grand total of ZERO times, since everyone I know has said that it was crummy.

Oooh, thanks Dave! The soundtrack listings are all messed up in my copy.

BadGuyZero:

I enjoyed it. The Bad Gal Zero of that time enjoyed it, and she had never seen the show. We watched the pilot afterwards and she couldn't believe that the movie had been made several years after the pilot.

I remember going from Dallas to Austin and back solely to pick up the Japanese laserdisc of FWWM when it was released [the movie was still in theaters]. I didn't want to have to wait for them to ship it to me.
Avatar 3:56am
amEdeo:

Wow. That IS commitment. I know the little David Lynch kid is in it (whose grandmother is the rye bread lady from Seinfeld), and I guess I'd be interested in seeing more of his character... But then again, I do feel fairly content with how the series ended. In fact, I really like how it ended.

How was the Laserdisc? Did it have anything extra on it?

Bonjour amEdeo and listeners friends !

Bonjour, pierre!
Avatar 4:12am
BadGuyZero:

I think the laserdisc had the trailer, but no other extras. The jacket was absolutely gorgeous.

Pierre, Bon jour!
Avatar 4:14am
amEdeo:

Whoa, no I have not. Does not look like the David Lynch kid from the show AT ALL.
Avatar 4:20am

hey guys it's that important time of the year !!
Avatar 4:24am
amEdeo:

Almost! The fundraiser officially begins with Liz's show at 9.
Avatar 4:24am

Well actually, I guess it starts at 6 with Nachum!!

BUT PLEDGE AWAY!
Avatar 4:26am
pierre:

when Liz's show, I want a gong noise of some sort !
Avatar 4:28am
amEdeo:

Will the screams of the innocent do? I can produce that, I think... but I don't know about a gong.
Avatar 4:31am
pierre:

screams are totally cool and fine by me. :)

oooh i'm liking this "Long Distance Poison", a bit Cartpenter-y/Umberto-y eh ?
Avatar 4:33am

I saw Umberto last year. It was pretty cool.

David Lynch in Oneonta! no idea.

That's sort of like Clinton shaking JFK's hand.

I just tried something that should have worked.... and instead it pumped insane feedback into my ears.

@ BadGuyZero: he is doing a tour in europe right now, with two dates in Paris, totally going to see that.
Avatar 4:41am
BadGuyZero:

I saw him open for Mogwai in Chicago. He wasn't announced as the opener until about two weeks before the show so I was super psyched. He had footage from old VHS horrors projected above him. That was about as perfect as you could get.
Avatar 4:43am
BadGuyZero:

@pierre: Have you heard of Ensemble Economique?
Avatar 4:54am
pierre:

sounds terrific BadGuyZero ! Cannot wait !
Yeah I saw him playing, with a couple of pals playing as opener. It was pretty good, not super awesome (to my tastes) but pretty good yeah.
Avatar 5:01am

Ultra S/C? Awesome.
Avatar 5:13am

Morning! Yes, Ultra S/C sound great (remind me to Brit emperor Billy Childish). Any more songs?
