fleep - not to mention high heels and garter belts
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm

Does that count as lingerie any more? I see people dressed like that every time I hit a suburban mall. :)

Good tune for the gifs would be a cover version redone by a male singer as "She Shot Me." It *must* exist somewhere!!!! :)

omg i haaaaaaaate people who wander around to look for more stuff... and then when they are FINALLY ready to pay they make a big deal about being in a hurry.
Avatar 7:40pm
sugarwolf:

I am coming from this from the other side of the cash register but ugggghhhhh don't get me started.
Avatar 7:40pm
Starwick:

People who are not prepared when they get to the front of the line (digging for wallet, credit cards, coupons, etc.) especially after standing in line for an eternity.
Avatar 7:41pm
fleep:

And then they write a check, slowly, because debit cards scare them.

Bene bene, Pope Felix's favorite canzione!! Molto grazie!!
Avatar 7:42pm

OR -- those "Do you mind if I go ahead of you? I only have a few items" people.
Avatar 7:42pm
CB1:

Any line at a big box store with the inevitable "price check"
  7:43pm
earrie:

1) Places where I'm a regular that won't stop asking me for some points card. 2) Cashiers holding on to the receipt and circling some online feedback site with some pitch about some offer I don't want.
Avatar 7:43pm
Sem Chumbo:

The "I have exact change" people who lose count of the nickles and pennies, and start over...
Avatar 7:43pm

Yes you have to pay sales tax in New York State, even if you pay cash!!! No you can not have more discount!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm
Maggie B.:

Mo, I love me my Herald Sq., and I'll go there as long as I work in the area. But you know what's worst? Woodbury Common, which I live near. The fern tourists are going there in droves! They're like retail zombies!
Avatar 7:43pm
Starwick:

OR people who have kids who mutilate items in line then insist upon going and getting "new" replacements.
Avatar 7:44pm
CB1:

Sugarwolf - been there - oh boy have we been there.
Avatar 7:44pm
fleep:

Express line. Two items on the counter. And then ... "Do you have stamps?" "I need Camel Lights in the box" "I want my change in rolls of quarters" It's not the number of items, it's the high maintenance.
  7:46pm
Listener Schned:

Are we the only ones cracking up, as the supermarket robot says, "Put your MELONS in the bag" ?
Avatar 7:47pm
deanland:

The people who get on the 20 or 15 or 5 items or less (which should be FEWER, not less!!!, but that's another gripe for another time) with an entire shopping cart full of stuff. Then, when someone (like yours truly) points out that this is the quick-checkout line, they say something to the effect of, "Oh, but I'm here already." At such times I want a stun gun, and then to toss all their stuff back into the cart (and them, too) and put them at the rear end of the longest line in the store. Grrrr!. Those people are always the ones who grab the WRONG SIZE item and give the cashier grief that it isn't the sale price coming up, and then tell them the scanner is wrong. No, douche bag, it is the 10 oz not the 32 oz that's on sale. For those, a stun gun is too kind. They just deserve to be drawn and quartered on the spot.
  7:47pm
Andrew:

Tuned in from Tokyo, where it's Monday morning! Mo luv!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm
Neil:

Had a bad experience at the counter at Ikea in the 80's. Haven't been back since. Basically hate any store that has more than two locations. Now, the used vinyl store nearby where I picked up two volumes of the Tico All Stars before heading to Long Island to see Jerry Lewis, well, then, that's another story.
Avatar 7:49pm

"Lawn" ?
Avatar 7:52pm

Avatar 7:53pm
CB2:

There was a store called Grand Brass for lamp parts on Grand Street. There was NO parkling anywhere around, but if you complained that you were double parked and needed to hurry, they would refuse to serve you.
Avatar 7:55pm
CB1:

OMG Liberace sounds just like Marlon Brando!
Avatar 7:55pm
deanland:

Then there are the "before you get on line" issues, at department stores, drug stores, groceries, and such, where people block passage in an aisle while carrying on at full volume, yakking about their personal lives while talking on a cell phone. All sorts of private details, spelled out, as though no one else is around. I have a friend who butts into the conversations: she just acts like a 3rd party one the call. When given the evil eye, her comment is, "well you were sharing the call with EVERYBODY WITHIN EARSHOT, so I figured I was ALREADY PART OF THE CONVERSATION."
Avatar 7:56pm
