Hey Lizardner Dave!!! You made it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm

this kind of sounds like a Motown song, slowed down thusly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm

Are websites still designed with Flash intros and HTML?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm
Amanda:

Mine can be, is what I think I'm trying to say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Lizardner Dave:

Dammit, Geocities is only available in Japan nowadays. What's wrong with people?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41pm
listener james from westwood:

skirkie, if it's not flash intros, it's auto-playing, unstoppable music that gets my goat.
i still remember when some folks would get up in arms b/c a web page used frames. never understood why. not even sure if they're part of html anymore.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
Doug Schulkind:

Part of the massive and wonderful Kenzo Playlist System upgrade is the elimination of frames on my personal playlist index page. (Using frames still represents the peak of my web-design capabilities.) ALL HAIL KENZO!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
Skirkie:

Transparent frames were the way to go.

Mighty funky for Mr. Webb. Sounds like Steely Dan's 1st LP was influenced by this.

At least you were quite prepared for that eventuality. Thanks again for board-opping, it was hugely helpful!

Yikes, back again. I missed Laura Nyro, dang. My advice to everyone: don't ever become a manager. The pay raise is not worth the headaches. Not in a million years.

@efd, I hope you three do it again, whether my schedule allows me to work the controls or not! I didn't want to throw a wrench in the system and be a king-mixer.

@Carmichael: I feel your pain. Recent promotion. Feels like a booby prize. No time to listen to radio like I used to.

Hello Stanley, Looking forward to discovering more UbuWeb. Lot of it is BBC related.

I don't want to let any cats out of any bags (sorry, cats) but I think it's safe to say there will be additional episodes with possibly another notable WFMU drummer taking part.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm

@NGH, Dave Mandl had a Susie Ibarra selection with him on Sunday, but I don't think he had time to fit it in.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm

Just play anything by Sly Dunbar and be done with it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm
listener james from westwood:

@carmichael, my first fulltime job became a lot less fun when i began managing folks. not due to the folks, but bc it took me away from the editing, proofing, etc. they were doing that i so enjoyed. was a decent teacher of these functions, but nothing like doing them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm
Amanda:

Hi Stanley! Hope the archives treat you well and thanks for FINALLY JOINING US (looks at watch).
Avatar 1:53pm

OK, I'm mellowing out. Serenity NOW!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm

@Brian - you do go in for the remote places. You might catch nesting ospreys in the forest, if you're lucky and you like that sort of thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm
listener james from westwood:

will def. come back to this show to hear the 2nd half at full volume; had it on during the call, but needs to fill the room for best effect. loved the full-throttle first half, though!
