a buddy of mine works at a rehearsal studio in london. he ran into Trevor many times over the years. My friend said that while he was always referred to as a miserable sod, Trevor was always nice to him. When you asked him about Bowie, he always referred to him as "That cunt". he had the best side burns of the 70's

To DK's point the pining over Jim's greatness was just over played. I see Morrison in a lot of the same ways I see Manson. Yeah they are ok some of the time, but you can only smell your own farts for so long. If they put a good song I would except it but not expect it (this is of course irrelevant in Morrison's case now)

The Stimulators time period is kind of a forgotten time period in NYC history. There was the CBGB's time and then the tough guy Hardcore thing. I have come to find out there was a great time for music in NYC that has never really got it's due.

that's fer sure Cecile--our local ice cream maker (Max) is being run out of business by the landlord and the BBQ next door. He makes his own ice cream and it rules. The BBQ place has made no secret of the fact they want to expand and they want to inherit Max's state of the art freezer which stays with the property.

yeah, one of my favorite coffee shops was forced to stop serving their excellent lunches because another tenant of the landlord nearby didn't like it. They were serving soup and sandwiches, and the other place Middle Eastern, but they won out. Fortunately, you can still eat quiche and donuts 3 meals a day...
