A live, improvised sound collage experiment, going back 28 years, weaving mesmerizing new soundscapes from found and collected materials right in the present moment.
Pop music, speeches, live phone calls and spontaneous monologues become ambient loopy layered threads riding the liminal spaces between waking and dreaming. [On hiatus.] (Visit homepage.)

Jay Thomas  Mission Wind   Favoriting One-Minute Vacations  2004  MP3  This was recorded on an unusually windy night in a narrow passageway connecting the back of my apartment building to the street. Blasts of wind caused a wooden door to creak while rattling a paper sign. One particularly strong gust carries the faint sound of a wind chime and a barking dog. Toward the end of the recording a neighbor starts his truck, breaking the solitude... Recorded around 10 p.m., May 4, 2004, in the Mission District of San Francisco on a Sony MZ-R50 minidisc recorder with a set of Core Sound's Low-Cost Binaural microphones.  * ***   1:44:54 (MP3 | Pop-up)

WFMU Drummer stream seems fine to me! (WTJU, too. No idea what's on KTJU.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm
Rich in Washington:

@Kenzo: it's sporadic. It plays KLERE, then inexplicably kicks into the GTDR stream, then, I would assume, returns to KLERE.
I've found the most stable option is to listen to WTJU (which is what I meant to type, not KTJU - I'm West of the Mississippi so I resorted to putting a K on the call letters).
Avatar 2:19pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Rich: You mean, it's doing that today?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm
Rich in Washington:

It did for me. Now I am only listening to WTJU.

Today, IIRC, is Dave The Spazz's birthday. So be sure to spazz-out at least once today.
Avatar 2:21pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

That sucks! It did it multiple times, today?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm
Rich in Washington:

Not sure, as soon as it did it, I switched over. When I just now checked WFMUGTDR it was OK, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm
Rich in Washington:

Now I'm listening to GTDR and WTJU together. Sound good, just slightly out of sync. It's like listening to an stereo demonstration LP with ping pong sounds.

Does your streaming software tally skips? Maybe when it skips, it kicks GTDR's auto DJ on?
