dinatekno:

Buzzcocks!!! Excellent! You are right, that guitar at the end of the song is fantastic. Like you're in a vacuum tunnel.
  11:28am
Cal Zone!:

So when they were not picking wild mountain berries, Peggi and Jo Jo were picking fights?
  11:29am
Zev:

I've always wondered about the fuzz intro on "Let's Hang On" (if anyone's looknng for me, Zev -> interweb rabbithole...)
  11:31am
surfdog:

Michael.. IMHO should have followed up the Incredible Casuals song with:
Grab Your Balls, We re Going Bowling Polka by "The Casuals"
  11:32am
lloyd michigan:

Rockpile reunion.
  11:33am
Zev:

I would totally want to own the "Les Paul Fish Spotter"!
  11:34am
Peter:

Mistah Shell-ee!
  11:35am
mark in toronto:

  11:35am
JSG:

Seven figures... can't be R'pile or Brinsley Schwarz.
  11:35am
Peter:

This song is basically a date-rape song.

Agree - great mics, drums & drummer - but also the absence of multiple loud electric guitars

This is a family show, so Hank couldn't reveal how he actually came to know for sure she was a bottle blonde.
  12:27pm
Red:

groovy show today
  12:29pm
mark in toronto:

Michael, a few weeks ago you had number of negative comments. I need more from a DJ than to back announce the tracks they just played. You are full of information and opinions about the little things that don't make sense in this world. Also, listening to half-remembered and unknown-to-me songs, I truly see why they are #1 hits - if not in this universe, then somewhere.
  12:29pm
Queens L. Bow:

Yeah, wondering what that shadowy Nick Lowe photo is. Brinsley had 5 members, Rockpile had 4 (I'd be very surprised if that group is reuniting). Maybe some sort of super-group?
  12:31pm
KP:

Thanks for FBB.
  12:31pm
mark in toronto:

Brinsley Schwartz et al already reunited with Graham Parker to reform the Rumour. Unlikely that they would all combine with Rockpile to form a Supergroup.
  12:32pm
Queens L. Bow:

Also, Nick L. is supposed to play that free show at Lincoln Center next month, but the Crickets are no longer on the bill (it was supposed to be their farewell show). Anyone know what happened? (can't find any news or update.)
  12:33pm
JSG:

David Hidalgo is a national treasure. One of the most underrated guys in rock, along with Robin Zander.
  12:34pm
Cal Zone!:

Today's show has incredible flow! Really enjoying it!

I also saw Jonathan in that time frame (Jonathan Sings!) Everything else was so angry, snotty or angst ridden (which I loved,) but his show left me smiling and feeling very warm inside. Remarkable person/performer.
  12:39pm
Peter:

Agreed about David Hidalgo..

One of the most beautiful voices. "Kiko", is one of rock's greatest albums.
  12:45pm
Red:

wow, that Big Bad John song was in a very old TV commercial or TV show. Maybe on Channel 5.

by the way, that "You & Your Johnson" clip last week made my day
