Greetings! Needed program today.

Hopefully if and when Todd launches another club it'll get the same media attention that the ending of Maxwell's has (deservedly) gotten.

I gotta go, but I can't believe that Hoboken is so short-sighted! Good luck in your new ventures, Todd.

Hi Cecile, sadly I can believe it :(

Well, there is an NJ transit rail station in Rutherford not too far from Route 17... (I kid)

Question for Todd: Any though to what you'll do with some of the iconic fixtures of Maxwell's? Would they be stored for possible use in a new space? What's to become of the Panasonic sign?

Cheri Pi:

My friend who is a club owner in Cincinnati also got his masters in urban planning a few years ago- he says it's the best decision he ever made... now I understand.

I don't begrudge Todd anything btw - I appreciate all the memories Maxwell's has brought us :)

(And I do remember that era when there was 'no' Maxwell's - I never set foot in the brew-pub)

It's really true. The biggest factor in this seems to be that people are older. Plus Hoboken is not attractive for anything else anymore. In ten, twenty years we olds will still be talking about Maxwell's like olds used to talk about how they used to do things in Vaudeville.

people older not the only factor - what do you think Titus Andronicus' demographic is?

I saw Titus there four times (and I'm 35 so I don't even count), but bottom line is that there aren't enough Titus' in North Jersey to shoulder that weight.

There were a few WFMU showcases after that settlement that got the Free Music Archive started I believe.

Hi Todd, Thanks for all the great shows. I've seen dozens and think I remember them all. But just in case, is there any where that a list of artists who played Maxwells exist? Good Luck.
