August 2, 2013: Special: Sex Clark Five
TONIGHT: an exclusive musical set prepared by indie-pop LEGENDS Sex Clark Five! The elusive Huntsville, AL, group first came to the attention of BBC Radio's John Peel in the mid-1980's who was their major champion. In 1987 came the critical success of SC5's release "Strum & Drum" hailed as "a near-classic first step" by Trouser Press. Their 2013 release "Rembrandt X" finds the group even more developed in their quirky pop inventions. SC5 has recorded material specifically for this program!
