The moon was lovely this weekend. My friend's 2-year-old couldn't stop pointing and proclaiming "MOON! MOON!" over and over again Friday evening. Even he knew something special was going on.

doca:

once i read a vespucci account of one of his travels to america in early sixteenth century and he says that the ship crew was terrified when they unexpectedly saw the moon during the day after crossing the equator and thought it was a bad omen. since i read this i wondered if the moon doesn't show up during the day in northern hemisphere. it seems it gladly does.

Great set, Liz! I'm really digging this Cavern of Anti-Matter. It sounds like if Stereolab started in 1981 instead of 1991.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am
Liz Berg:

Yeah Tim, the Cavern of Anti-Matter is like a more krauty version of Stereolab. This long jam is awesome!

When you play 11 (ELEVEN!) songs in a row WITHOUT TALKING you kind of have to talk for a bit to tell people about those songs.

My old college station had a pre-recorded ID that had an old soundbyte from a sci-fi movie about death rays... the ID then said "KDVS: pure uninhibited radio death ray." So uh, death rays have a special place in my heart.
