Jay/London:

Avatar 7:59am
KP:

Actually city is quite easy. It has avenues and numbered streets and it's all neat, except where it's not.
Avatar 8:06am
Jay/London:

Avatar 8:09am
Jay/London:

Avatar 8:12am
Thomas:

Avatar 8:13am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Avatar 8:14am
Jay/London:

Avatar 8:15am
Jay/London:

better use GPS then RRNov63
Avatar 8:20am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Boston was laid out like a little Colonial place, & became a major City. Bad combo. (NYC was lucky that way - numbered Avenues on a grid - perfect sense.) GPS can only help so much when your roundabout exit happens too fast & you have to change lanes, your street is only a narrow block, they just changed the street name...
Avatar 8:26am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...One hears London is expansively sprawling
...& *imagines* mysterious alleys of fascinating Dickensian shoppes & Holmes/Ripper mystery...
Avatar 8:26am
Thomas:

didn't know that about Boston, RRR64 - makes total sense
Avatar 8:28am
Thomas:

'bout its origins i mean
Avatar 8:29am
Jay/London:

@ rrnov63 there are not so much of those anymore as all the new buildings and road most of them have gone you only see them in old films
Avatar 8:31am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Ah! But I still fear the UK that I might enter a Music Shop & just - disappear...
Avatar 8:38am
Jay/London:

@RRNov63 they but what a way to go .. they will always show you the way out once you have spent all your money
Avatar 8:41am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I'm sure they will !
Avatar 8:45am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...& w/ characteristic proper British politeness - &/or sarcastic wit...
Avatar 8:47am
