Dave, I'm concerned that the new schedule means you'll be starting even after the final stretch has begun.

I also have questions about how the schedule change effects WoE. For instance, is the amount of rock constant by percent or elapsed time? Is the show still 2% rock, or now 3%?

By far, best part of the new schedule is A440 is back!
Avatar 9:12pm

@Droll: I'm still working on those figures. Can I get back to you?

Well now we'll have to adjust to the segue from "Not Monica" to WOE as of next Sunday.

Take your time on that one, but I need the answer before the Final Stretch. I don't suppose you've worked out if the number of echoes (feedback) is being reduced by 1/3rd or if the delay time is being decreased holding the number of echoes constant?

We have to make a lot of accommodations on our end, you know.

If you were in SF, you probably wouldn't want to be Jorma sitting on a stoop. His ex-wife (the one who painted the cover of this album) was a notorious Mission District drug abuser who eventually managed to die of it, a few years ago.

  10:15pm
JakeGould:

I appreciate X the same way I appreciate the Replacements: Neither ban’s music does anything for me, but I am repeatedly lectured on their relevance. Which means… I don’t care. Maybe if I grew up in L.A. or Minnesota when each respective band was big… But don’t care.
Avatar 10:18pm

- wull - X was in there early enuff, pretty original - great poetry & energy (lecture lecture)...Replacements a kinda Punk Stones or Faces mebee (??) - just great R'n'R panache, which is needed from time to time...now, Husker Du...

Jack had some "new wave" cred, with SVT. And we used to bump into Paul Kantner at The Mabuhay in North Beach -- he was quite interested in The Nuns, who were also sort of Airplane-like in their lineup, if not their music.
  10:20pm

Husker Du I can get. But I don’t. I grew up weird. I do appreciate Greg Norton’s mustache. Holy crap. Good facial hair.

I want a Roger Dean box set. Just a huge box set of Roger Dean album covers. Maybe on big 12x12 pieces of wood to mimic an album’s dimensions. No words even. Just images. A box set I can place on a shelf or literally mount on a wall.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:27pm
pacific standard simon:

I can't imagine liking Herbie Hancock enough to own more than a record or two. And I don't get the "relevance" (or significance) thing that Jake mentions, aside from The Beatles and like that. Either you like a band or you don't, and everybody should get off your back.
  10:28pm
JakeGould:

Pacific Standard, you mean how people have thrown the Replacements & X down my throat as dogma? I don’t get it either. Don’t accept it either. Just listen to the music.

Actually, I listen to the music all the time.
Avatar 10:30pm
