@monodons I'm nearly done with his autobiography. Parts of it were great and some are kind of dull. Listening to Morrissey talk about his youth in a writing style that I can only describe as pure Morrissey was really interesting to me. Reading about his discovery of music, especially glam was exciting. Reading about his court case being sued by Joyce was painfully dull .

yep Morrisey major NY Dolls fanatic fan #1 basically. helped get the reunion thing going, too, or hosted it the first one at ATP fest, or something. I've been ok except for last winter, when I made a complete stop in a pot hole (saw it, braked, came to a complete stop), and fell on my face. Steve, about our Skrillex dreams. I was afraid he was running around our dreamland preparing to create a terrifying Freddy-Krueger-esque purgatory in the real world, but then I realized that he was too lame to do that.

@Cecile: don't forget another ID classic, "Deadly Sins". My sweetie is post supervisor for that very special program. I was actually at the season launch party a few days ago, as their Jodi Arias rehash aired. No joke.

Anyway, Joe - going back to what you have listed as "Witch Queen":

That's I guess one of that whole swath of Marie Laveau songs people have made. The one you played sounds a lot like something Vin Scelsa said was a big WFMU hit around 1967-68 or so.

I think. I'm missing references. But I think the one he was talking about pronounced Laveau more like Lebeau, and may have been played by some group involving a Zaloom and a bear.
